Points of Pride 2024-2025
PBIS Award
We were recognized by the District as a Distinguished PBIS School. This prestigious honor reflects the hard work and commitment of our staff, students, and families in creating a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It’s a proactive approach to teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, helping students make responsible choices and creating a school culture where everyone feels valued and respected. By focusing on positive behaviors, PBIS encourages a more engaging, collaborative, and successful school experience for every student.
Title 1 Reward School
We are honored to be recognized as a Georgia Department of Education FY24 Title I Reward School by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA). This prestigious recognition places us among the top 5% of Title I schools statewide, celebrating our significant progress in student achievement and efforts to close the achievement gap.
Revved Up to Read Amira Competition
We are proud to have earned 2nd place in the district-wide Revved Up to Read Amira Competition! This recognition reflects our school’s unwavering commitment to literacy. Our students met the challenge by reading 30+ minutes weekly during instructional time, and our teachers used Amira strategically during small group rotations, morning work, and structured literacy blocks. Thank you to our dedicated staff and students for bringing energy, consistency, and a love of reading to every week. Together, we’re accelerating success—one reader at a time!
Football Regional Championship
Extracurricular activities are an important part of student life at Kemp Elementary School. This school year we continued our athletic program by participating in soccer, basketball, cheer and flag football. Our Flag Football Program built on their 4th place finish last year and won 1st place in our Region this school year. We are proud of their commitment to the team, each other and Kemp Elementary.
In addition, we continued our traditions of providing a variety of extracurricular activities such as Art Club, Beta Club, Chorus, Girls who Code, Men in the Making and Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. We enjoy each opportunity to celebrate our school community and each other. We continue to celebrate the achievements and contributions of students, staff, and faculty members fostering a culture that celebrates the whole student and enhances school pride. We love our K.E.S.!
